Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and personable Sales & Patient Intake Coordinator to join our growing physical therapy practice. This role will be responsible for managing incoming leads, supporting patient communication, booking evaluations, and assisting with insurance verification. The ideal candidate is a confident phone communicator who can help convert leads into scheduled appointments while delivering a positive patient experience.
This is a full-time, remote, independent contractor role supporting U.S. business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to and manage incoming leads in a timely manner
Qualify prospects and guide them through the next steps
Schedule patient evaluations using the practice’s EMR/scheduling system
Communicate clearly and professionally with prospective patients by phone
Support occasional Spanish-language calls and conversations
Assist with insurance verification, including checking benefits and confirming coverage
Call insurance providers as needed to verify benefits or request authorization details
Maintain accurate records of lead activity, scheduling, and patient notes
Follow scripts, SOPs, and workflows to ensure consistency
Collaborate with the team to improve conversion, follow-up, and patient intake processes
Qualifications
* 2 years plus prior experience in an SDR, lead management, intake, or phone-based sales/support role
* Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills
* Comfortable handling inbound and outbound phone calls
* Ability to explain services clearly and confidently
* Spanish-speaking ability
* Experience with scheduling tools, CRM systems, or EMR platforms is a plus
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
* Comfortable learning new tools and processes quickly
Technical Knowledge
Familiarity with the following platforms is required

PT Everywhere for scheduling and insurance-related workflows
