Job Description
Role:Project ManagerPriority Location:LatAm (specifically Honduras, Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador) and South AfricaWorking Hours:Full-time (40 hours/week), Eastern Standard Time (EST)Type of contract:RemoteType of job:Project ManagementThe final offer is at the client’s discretion and will depend on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.
About the Company:We are an award-winning, boutique design and creative agency based in New York City that does high-stakes, high-craft work for high-profile brands. It is fast-paced, priorities shift, and clients can move quickly. The upside: a tight, friendly team, real ownership from day one, and a manager invested in your growth. The person who thrives here is energized by that pace, not drained by it.About the Role:Own creative accounts end to end so the work ships on time, on budget, and on brand, without needing to be chased.
This is not a task-tracker seat. You are the person the client trusts and the person the design team relies on to keep everything moving. You own the account; you don't just report on it.
Who this is forYou run toward ownership. When something is unclear, you resolve it instead of escalating it. You stay calm when a client changes direction on a Friday afternoon, and you can hold five projects of different sizes in your head without dropping the small ones. You are AI-native by instinct, not because a job asked you to be. You have low ego and high standards, and you would rather build a clean system than be the hero who remembers everything.
You will be supported. You report into an Operations Manager who mentors the PM function, and specialized work is handled by domain owners (digital and technical, print and production), so you are never expected to do everything alone. What you own is the account and its delivery.
What you'll own
* End-to-end delivery.A portfolio of accounts spanning light to heavy complexity, each shipped on time, in scope, and to the agency's standard.
* Resourcing and profitability.Plan who works on what, keep projects inside their hours and budget, and stay aware of cost and margin. You know whether an account is healthy, not just whether it's busy.
* Client ownership.Lead status calls, translate feedback into clear tasks, and read between the lines on what a client actually needs.
* Team coordination.Give designers clarity, sequence the work, and keep the internal workflow honest in Monday so nothing stalls in a Slack thread.
* AI in the workflow.Use tools like Claude daily to move faster, tighten process, and raise the quality bar. This is core to how we work.
Must-haves
* Demonstrated fluency with AI tools like Claude in daily work. This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have
* 4+ years in project management, or equivalent depth, ideally in a creative agency or design studio
* Proven track record owning accounts end to end, not just executing assigned tasks
* Comfort with resourcing, timelines, and budget or margin awareness
* Strong, direct, upbeat communication and confident meeting leadership
* Fluent with Monday.com (or a comparable PM platform), plus Google Workspace, Slack, Gmail, Zoom
* Working familiarity with Figma to collaborate with designers
Tips for South African Applicants
Timezone Advantage
South Africa (SAST, UTC+2) overlaps well with European business hours and has a few hours of overlap with US East Coast. Mention your timezone flexibility in your application.
Salary in Context
Even without a listed salary, international remote roles typically pay 2-3x more than equivalent local positions in South Africa due to the exchange rate advantage.
Application Tips
Tailor your CV to international standards — use a clean format, highlight remote work experience, and include your English proficiency. Many SA applicants succeed by emphasising their strong work ethic and cultural adaptability.
Load Shedding Preparedness
If you're applying for a remote role, having a backup power solution (UPS, inverter, or generator) and mobile data as a backup internet connection shows employers you're prepared for South Africa's infrastructure challenges.
