About the Role
We are expanding our National Agent Channel and seeking a high-integrity, competitiveOutbound Business Development Representativeto join our team led by our National Agent Channel Lead.
This is a high-volume, phone-based appointment setting and agent onboarding seat. You will be making outbound calls to independent insurance agents and agency owners across the United States for two primary purposes:
* Setting up product demosfor senior channel leaders to walk agents through the platform.
* Guiding agency owners and producersthrough completing their quick online appointment/registration paperwork so they can start offering the brand.

Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Prospecting & High-Volume Outreach
* High-Volume Dialing:Conduct daily outbound phone calls targeting independent US insurance agencies, agency owners, and producers.
* Pitch & Hook Delivery:Articulate the value of the brand's specialized jewelry insurance, delivering a compelling hook that prompts interest.
* Appointment Setting:Qualify interested agency leads and schedule live product demos directly.
2. Agent Onboarding & Appointment Paperwork Assistance
* Walk agency owners and producers step-by-step through completing the online agent appointment paperwork.
* Follow up via phone and email to collect pending onboarding documents and ensure new agents are fully activated in the system.
3. Call Logging, Quality & Accountability
* Accurate Reporting:Truthfully log call attempts, connect rates, conversation notes, and booked appointments in our CRM.
* Objection Handling & Feedback:Apply sales training and feedback from call reviews to refine your pitch, handle gatekeepers, and navigate objections effectively.
Qualifications & Candidate Criteria
* Communication & "Bedside Manner":Fluent, highly articulate spoken English with exceptional phone presence, warmth, tone control, and rapport-building skills.
* Sales Savviness & Drive:Competitive mindset, strong bounce-back ability, and comfort managing high-volume outbound dialing.
* Uncompromising Integrity:High personal standards of honesty, transparency, and accountability. You take pride in accurate work and honest reporting.
* Coachable & Eager to Learn:Willingness to absorb insurance industry knowledge, implement feedback from spot-checks, and master sales objections.
* Location & Setup:Physical location in South Africa with full availability during US business hours (EST/CST), a quiet home office, high-speed internet, and a reliable power setup.
* Experience (Bonus, Not Required):Previous experience in outbound call centers, appointment setting, cold calling, or B2B sales is a plus—though personality, work ethic, and communication skills matter most.
