Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent to support a UK employer's staff from South Africa. You will be the first person people reach when something stops working, and the reason they get back to work quickly.
Good first-line support is half diagnosis and half reassurance. This role suits someone who can do both without making anyone feel foolish for asking.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to first-line support requests by phone, email and chat.
* Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software and account issues.
* Log and track tickets through to resolution.
* Escalate complex problems with clear, complete notes.
* Guide users through fixes in plain language.
* Maintain documentation so recurring issues get faster to solve.
What You Will Need
* Experience in IT support or a helpdesk role.
* Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 and common ticketing tools.
* Clear spoken and written English.
* Patience and genuine problem-solving instincts.
* A reliable laptop and stable connection.
Working Hours
* Full-time position.
* Fully remote, based in South Africa.
* 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
