Remote Recruitment is hiring a Conveyancing Assistant for a UK employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

You will support UK conveyancers through the file: ordering searches, preparing packs, chasing third parties and keeping clients updated so transactions do not stall in silence. It suits someone organised who enjoys steady progress.

You will work 09:00-17:00 UK time (11:00-19:00 SAST) from home, with equipment guidance, a proper induction and a manager who is contactable through the day. This is a permanent role, not a short contract.

Key responsibilities
* Open files, run client checks and prepare initial packs
* Order property searches and chase results
* Prepare draft contracts, forms and completion statements
* Liaise with estate agents, lenders and the other side
* Keep the case management system accurate and up to date
* Update clients on progress at agreed milestones
What you'll need
* Experience supporting conveyancing, property law or legal case administration
* Familiarity with a legal case management system
* Strong accuracy with dates, forms and file documentation
* Clear, reassuring written and phone communication with clients
* Reliable home internet and a quiet space for UK-hours work
Nice to have
* Exposure to Land Registry applications
* Experience with leasehold transactions
* Familiarity with anti-money-laundering checks
