Job Description

Title: Community ManagerLocation Preference: South Africa / LatAmHours: Full-time | 9am–6pm ESTSalary: USD $1,500–$2,200/month

About the Role

Client looking for a Community Manager to own the day-to-day experience of our talent community and our public presence across the platforms where fractional work and senior independent professionals engage.

You will step into a role with clear priorities already defined. The focus is execution: driving engagement, activating members, strengthening referral behavior, and building meaningful visibility in external professional communities.

You will work closely with the marketing team and report into the founding team. This is a high-trust, hands-on role where you will manage community interactions, run programs end-to-end, and surface insights that shape broader growth strategy.

What You Will Own
* Manage, grow, and nurture a community of 2,000+ senior fractional executives, including onboarding, engagement, and moderation.
* Execute an existing community strategy and deliver on a defined backlog of initiatives.
* Grow a talent referral program by encouraging members to refer companies they have worked with.
* Expand community presence across external channels, with a strong focus on Reddit and other professional discussion platforms.
* Conduct social listening across Reddit, LinkedIn, and similar spaces to identify relevant conversations and engage authentically.
* Support cross-posting of content across community channels to support discoverability and organic growth efforts.
* Handle inbound support questions from both talent and companies, escalating product issues when needed.
* Track engagement, referral, and community health metrics and iterate based on insights.

Who You Are
* 3+ years of community management experience, ideally within professional, executive, or operator communities.
* Strong executive presence in written communication; comfortable engaging with senior leaders in real time discussions.
* High judgment in moderation and community management, including handling sensitive or escalated situations independently.
* Self-directed and execution-focused; able to take defined priorities and turn them into outcomes without close supervision.
* Consistently proactive and persistent in outreach and follow-ups, while maintaining strong relationships.
* Experience building presence or engagement on platforms such as Reddit, LinkedIn, or similar communities.
* Comfortable using modern AI tools, Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace in daily workflows.
* Bonus: experience with talent marketplaces, recruiting-adjacent businesses, or professional operator communities.
