(Note: Open to flexible hours after the initial 6-month onboarding/stabilization period).Type:Full-time Contractor
Software Mandatory:e-cabinet systems (Thermwood) —No exceptions.
Role Overview: The Manufacturing Engine
We are a high-end custom millwork and cabinetry firm. We are looking for a precision-mindedCNC Programmerwho specializes exclusively ine-cabinet systems. You will serve as the critical link between our drafting department and the manufacturing floor.
Your mission is to take completed AutoCAD designs and translate them into exact, machine-ready construction drawings within the e-cabinet systems environment. This isn't just about "outputting files"—it’s about defining the exact joinery, grooves, holes, and construction logic that ensures our custom millwork is built to perfection. We need a "builder at heart" who understands how a machine interacts with wood and who has the independence to troubleshoot complex geometries in real-time.
Key Responsibilities
I. e-cabinet systems Translation & Programming
* Production Prep:Take 2D/3D CAD designs from our drafting department and build out the exact construction models ine-cabinet systems.
* Construction Logic:Design and verify exact manufacturing details, including joinery, grooves, shelf-pin holes, and fastener locations based on custom specifications.
* Tooling & Nesting:Optimize sheet layouts and nesting patterns to minimize waste while ensuring the CNC machinery (Thermwood) executes the tool paths without error.
* Real-Time Turnaround:Maintain a high velocity to keep the project moving forward. You must be able to correct and adjust drawings in real-time as shop floor needs arise.
II. Quality Control & Troubleshooting
* The "Final Filter":You are the last line of defense before material is cut. You must catch "clashes," missing notes, or small discrepancies in the CAD drawings that would cause manufacturing errors.
* Independence:"Flag issues and get answers." You are expected to proactively identify problems, troubleshoot technical bottlenecks in the software, and seek clarification from the design team rather than waiting for direction.
* Zero-Error Standard:Following full training and onboarding, the expectation is for 100% accuracy. A mistake in your software translates to a physical mistake in the shop; precision is non-negotiable.
III. Collaborative Operations
* Drafting Dept. Liaison:Work in lockstep with our AutoCAD drafters to ensure the designs they produce are optimized for our specific manufacturing software and machinery.
* System Optimization:Help refine our internal e-cabinet libraries and "construction seeds" to improve the firm's overall production speed.
Who You Are
Experience & Must-Haves
* e-cabinet systems Expert:5+ years of experience usinge-cabinet systems (Thermwood)for custom cabinetry. Experience in Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or other platforms willnotbe considered.
* Millwork Knowledge:Deep understanding of custom cabinetry construction. You must know "how it's built" to know "how to program it."
* Mechanical Aptitude:High mechanical IQ regarding CNC machinery, tool bits, and material behavior.
* Professional English:Excellent communication skills to coordinate with US-based designers and shop leads in a fast-paced environment.
Mindset
* Extreme Detail-Orientation:You are the person who catches the "one missing hole" in a 100-piece assembly.
* Autonomous & Resilient:You thrive when given a project to own. You don't need a manager to tell you to double-check your work; you do it because you take pride in technical perfection.
