About UsWe are a brand platform on a mission to acquire, scale, and revitalize exceptional consumer brands in the U.S. Backed by committed capital and led by founders with experience spanning Stanford GSB, Harvard Law, Y Combinator, and Forbes 30U30, we acquire high-potential DTC brands and unlock growth through hands-on operational excellence. Our mission: build a $100M+ portfolio of beloved, performance-driven consumer brands. To get there, we're assembling a team of driven, hungry operators who want to grow fast and take on real ownership.
About the Role
We're hiring an Associate Brand Manager to be the right hand to the Brand Manager with one of our portfolio brands. This is a heavily operations-focused role: you'll own the systems, reporting, inventory planning, and cross-channel coordination that keep the brand running smoothly day to day across DTC and Amazon. Think of this as the number two seat on a small, fast-moving brand team. Your job is to keep things tight, free up the Brand Manager's time for high-leverage decisions, and take real ownership of your work rather than waiting to be told what to do.
What You'll Do
Operations and Inventory
● Own inventory tracking, demand planning, and reorder cadence across DTC and Amazon
● Coordinate with suppliers, co-packers, and 3PLs to keep stock flowing and SKUs healthy ● Maintain daily and weekly reports on sales, performance, and forecasts
● Flag risks early and keep the Brand Manager informed
Project Management
● Own task management and keep internal coordination tight
● Help plan and execute product launches, campaigns, and marketing initiatives ● Make sure nothing falls through the cracks
Amazon
● Manage day-to-day Seller Central / Vendor Central operations including listings, inventory, and case management
● Monitor Buy Box, listing health, reviews, and account performance metrics ● Support advertising operations, promotions, and FBA inbound planning
Marketing Support
● Coordinate influencer partnerships and brand collaborations
● Draft social media posts, email content, and creative briefs
● QA landing pages, ads, and website updates
Who You Are
You're hardworking, entrepreneurial, and hungry to learn. You've worked directly in operations or supply chain at a consumer brand, 3PL, manufacturer, or logistics company. You understand how product flows from factory to fulfillment to customer, and you've owned the systems that keep it moving. You don't need a decade of experience, but you've gotten your hands dirty in real ops work and you know what good looks like. You're organized, proactive, and you take pride in your work. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see what needs to happen and you make it happen. Above all, you're the kind of person who wants to grow into running a brand yourself one day. This role is built for that path.
What We're Looking For
● Direct experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, ideally at a consumer brand, 3PL, or manufacturer (3+ direct years)
● Hands-on inventory tracking experience: reorder points, lead times, safety stock, sell-through, SKU-level health
● Demand planning chops: building forecasts, sizing POs, balancing stock across DTC and retail channels
● Vendor management experience coordinating with suppliers, co-packers, 3PLs, or freight forwarders
● Comfort with the systems that run ops: inventory management platforms (Cin7, NetSuite, or similar), 3PL portals, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and heavy spreadsheet work ● Strong written and verbal communication in English
● Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
● Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote environment ● Smart, coachable, and eager to grow fast
Why Join Us
●A real seat at the table. You won't be fetching coffee or filling out spreadsheets for someone who ignores you. You'll be the number two on a real brand, with work that matters and visibility that comes with it.
●A path to Brand Manager. We promote from within. The people who excel in this role become Brand Managers, which means full P&L ownership and a seat in the brand CEO chair. That's not a distant dream here, it's the plan.●Learn by doing. You'll get broad, hands-on exposure to how consumer brands are built and scaled, without the fluff. Real operators, real decisions, real growth.●Grow with a platform that's just getting started. We are early and moving fast. The people who join now will have opportunities that won't exist once we're bigger.
Tips for South African Applicants
Timezone Advantage
South Africa (SAST, UTC+2) overlaps well with European business hours and has a few hours of overlap with US East Coast. Mention your timezone flexibility in your application.
Salary in Context
At R55,500/month, this role pays well above the average South African remote salary. The USD equivalent ($3,000/mo) benefits from the favourable exchange rate.
Application Tips
Tailor your CV to international standards — use a clean format, highlight remote work experience, and include your English proficiency. Many SA applicants succeed by emphasising their strong work ethic and cultural adaptability.
Load Shedding Preparedness
If you're applying for a remote role, having a backup power solution (UPS, inverter, or generator) and mobile data as a backup internet connection shows employers you're prepared for South Africa's infrastructure challenges.
