Social Media & Growth Strategist

Job Overview

We’re working with a fast-growing UK-based business that is seeking a hands-on Social Media & Growth Strategist to take ownership of social performance and drive measurable traction from day one.

This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives on execution, understands performance metrics, and can clearly demonstrate growth outcomes — while also having the strategic capability to evolve into a broader senior role over time. Initially, the focus is firmly on delivery: improving engagement, reach, and conversion through well-executed social media activity. As trust and results are proven, the scope will expand into higher-level growth and strategy work.

You’ll be joining a lean, performance-driven startup environment where accountability, autonomy, and results matter more than job titles.

Key Responsibilities
* Own social media performance end-to-end across relevant platforms (content, posting, optimisation, reporting).
* Develop and execute content ideas that drive immediate traction, engagement, and follower growth.
* Analyse social performance metrics and adjust strategy to improve outcomes.
* Create and manage content calendars aligned with business goals.
* Test, iterate, and optimise formats, messaging, and posting schedules.
* Translate performance data into clear insights and actionable improvements.
* Gradually contribute to broader growth and marketing strategy as results are proven.
* Work independently and take full responsibility for delivery in a lean startup environment.

Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience delivering measurable social media growth and traction.
* Hands-on experience owning social media channels from ideation through to performance results.
* Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance optimisation.
* Demonstrated strategic thinking, with the ability to grow into a more senior role over time.
* Highly execution-focused — comfortable doing the work, not just planning it.
* Experience working in fast-paced, performance-accountable environments (startup experience is highly beneficial).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Access to a reliable laptop and stable internet connection.
