Job Description

Role: Operations ManagerLocation:Latin America or South Africa (Fully Remote)Schedule:Full-Time, 40 hours per weekContract:Independent ContractorCompensation:$2000usd/month (based on experience)

About the Role

This is a high-impact operations role inside a fast-moving B2B merchandise media agency that delivers end-to-end merchandising solutions, combining bespoke product development, warehousing, fulfillment, and proprietary inventory technology. The company is scaling rapidly, and this hire is central to that growth.

AsOperations Manager, you will serve as the bridge between sales commitments and physical and digital delivery. You will inherit a high-functioning team of five, including three Procurement specialists, one Account Manager, and one Admin. Your mandate is not to micromanage but to hold the team accountable, protect margins, report on performance, and remove the roadblocks standing between your team and excellent execution.

This is not a corporate role. It is a startup integrator position that demands equal parts high-level strategic thinking and frontline grit.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage external developers to deploy proprietary technology solutions for clients, translating business needs into technical requirements without writing a single line of code.
* Oversee global warehousing, third-party logistics, and fulfillment operations to ensure on-time delivery at every stage of the supply chain.
* Hold the procurement team accountable to timelines and margin targets, ensuring profitability is protected on every project.
* Systematize early-stage internal workflows into scalable standard operating procedures that allow the business to grow without breaking.
* Manage external design resources, ensuring all creative deliverables are pitch-ready and delivered on schedule.
* Partner directly with the CEO to strategically transition company revenue toward recurring merchandise programs.
* Lead the company's AI integration initiative, leveraging artificial intelligence tools for rapid prototyping and bridging the gap between project concepts and developer execution.
Required Profile
* Conversationally Fluent in Tech: You are not a developer, but you understand what an API is, you can speak intelligently with engineers, and you can assess the relative complexity of a technical deployment. You know the difference in scope between spinning up a landing page and building a custom database.
* High-EQ Leader with Clear Standards: You lead with empathy and emotional intelligence, but you set crystal-clear expectations and hold your team to them without hesitation. Your first instinct when a deadline is missed is to ask what roadblock you can remove, not to assign blame.
* Roll-Up-Your-Sleeves Operator: You delegate effectively, demonstrate the standard of excellence, duplicate processes so the team can scale, and you do the work yourself when the situation demands it. No task is beneath you.
* Ruthless Organizer: You do not just solve a problem once. You systematize it, document it, and build the infrastructure so it does not happen again.
* Proactive Problem Solver: You bring solutions, not problems. You know how to triage under pressure and prioritize the existing client experiencing friction over the new opportunity knocking at the door.
The Stress Test

If the following scenario does not energize you, this role is not the right fit.The company has just won a massive new merchandise program contract. At the same time, the technology deployment is behind schedule, the physical merchandise is delayed, client friction is high, and the team is failing to meet its service level agreements. A wave of new inbound work is arriving simultaneously. The right candidate steps into this chaos, triages the fires, manages client expectations without losing the relationship, redirects the developers, and builds the systematic solution that ensures it never happens again.

Compensation and Benefits
* Performance-based incentives with a bonus structure tied to year-end targets.
* Two weeks of paid time off annually plus sick days as needed.
* Full autonomy and direct partnership with the CEO, with clear opportunity for career growth within the company.
How to Apply

If you are the operator who thrives in the chaos described above and you are ready to help build the infrastructure of a scaling agency from the inside, submit your application today!
