About the Role:The client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and empathetic Virtual Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This role is ideal for someone with prior U.S. healthcare experience who enjoys helping patients, coordinating care, and navigating insurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct intake calls with prospective clients and gather key clinical and scheduling information
* Verify insurance benefits and eligibility with U.S. insurance providers
* Explain copays, deductibles, and other patient financial responsibilities
* Evaluate client needs, treatment preferences, insurance coverage, and scheduling requirements to match clients with the most appropriate therapist and facilitate a smooth start to care
* Schedule appointments and coordinate clinician availability
* Manage patient records and documentation in the EHR system
* Provide exceptional customer service while supporting individuals seeking mental health care
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience supporting U.S. healthcare organizations
* Hands-on experience with patient intake and insurance verification (VOB)
* Experience contacting U.S. insurance carriers and reviewing benefits, copays, deductibles, and coverage
* Ability to independently evaluate multiple factors, including presenting concerns, provider specialties, insurance coverage, scheduling availability, and client preferences, to facilitate appropriate therapist-to-client matching.
* Experience using U.S.-based EHR/EMR systems
* Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure accurate handling of patient information
* Ability to independently manage patient cases in a fast-paced healthcare environment
* Excellent spoken and written English with a professional, neutral accent
* Strong empathy, professionalism, and communication skills
* Available to work fixed U.S. Eastern Time business hours
