Role Description

The Construction Estimator is responsible for forecasting project costs by gathering details and compiling data to estimate all production costs according to drawings and specifications. This role involves preparing complete, clear, and concise bids, budget proposal estimates, and design/build proposals in alignment with the company's exemplary work standards. Full service bidding , leveling, descope meetings

The ideal hire will possess critical thinking skills and be able to use this and apply initiative in order to meet targets and couple this back to the bigger picture of how it all connects to operations.

Qualifications:
* 5 years of experience in the commercial electrical industry.
* Strong background in cost estimation and bid preparation.
* Experience with Accubid or AI-based estimation tools is a plus (or willingness to learn). Procore, Planswift, On-screen take off , leveling sheets, reading specifications
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with industry-standard software, Teams.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
* Strong English communication skills (grammar, mathematics, and logical reasoning).
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
* Pass a background check, including a drug test.
* Alignment with company values: Demonstrates understanding and enthusiastic agreement with the company's vision and mission.
* Availability to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Responsibilities:
* Project Cost Estimation:Accurately estimate costs by evaluating materials, labor, equipment, and services.
* Bid & Proposal Preparation:Create detailed and precise budget proposals and design/build estimates.
* Plan & Specification Analysis:Review electrical plans across all trades to ensure project requirements are met.
* Resource Allocation:Determine necessary resources while considering budget constraints, materials, labor, tools, and transportation.
* Pricing & Change Orders:Manage project change orders and pricing adjustments.
* Vendor Coordination:Resolve material order issues with suppliers in a calm and professional manner.
* Project Oversight:Assist in staffing, outlining project plans, setting deadlines, and evaluating project performance.
* Quality & Continuous Improvement:Generate high-quality work while proactively identifying opportunities for constant improvement.
* Collaboration & Initiative:Work both independently and under direct supervision to achieve project goals.
* Cost estimation, budgeting, cost consultancy, negotiations, cost control, value engineering, subcontractor management, Building Connected.
Compensation:

$1,280 - $1,700 per month, paid in USD depending on experience.
