About the Role

Our client, a reputable and growing U.S.-based company, is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers, processes, and problem-solving.Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, general ledgers, and reconciliations.
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
* Manage bank and credit card reconciliations.
* Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Support internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation.
* Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax laws.
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred:
* CA(SA)orACCAqualification.
* Experience in multi-state payroll and tax filing.

Compensation

ZAR 45000 - ZAR 60,000 per month depending on experience
