Staff Accountant

Salary: $2000-$2500

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will support the Vice President of Finance by managing day-to-day

accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is responsible for

accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting support, vendor management, and

assisting with tax-related filings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and

comfortable handling multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections,

and payment processing

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

● Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

● Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts

● Assist with tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and coordination with external

tax advisors or CPAs

● Manage vendor relationships, including setup, documentation, and payment inquiries

● Prepare financial models for investor communications

● Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking as needed

● Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation

● Assist with audits and financial reviews

● Perform other bookkeeping and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

● 5-10 years’ accounting experience at a “Big Four” firm preferred

● Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting

● Experience with QuickBooks and

bill.com

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

● High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

● Ability to handle confidential financial information

● Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with finance leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

● Experience supporting senior finance leadership or working in a growing organization

● Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments
