Remote Recruitment is hiring a IT Helpdesk Agent for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa, owning first-line IT support for a UK team.

Role overview

You will be the friendly first point of contact when staff at a UK business have a tech problem. You will diagnose, fix or escalate issues quickly and keep every ticket moving until it is resolved.

Key responsibilities
* Log, triage and resolve first-line support tickets
* Reset passwords and manage user accounts
* Set up and troubleshoot laptops, email and software
* Escalate complex issues with clear notes
* Keep knowledge-base articles accurate and current

What you'll need
* Experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role
* Experience with a ticketing tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows
* Clear written English for explaining fixes simply
* A reliable laptop and stable fibre connection

Nice to have
* CompTIA A+ or similar certificate
* Experience with Google Workspace admin
* Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer
