About the Role

A premier luxury resort and marina in the Bahamas is seeking adetail-oriented Accountantto join their remote finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage end-to-end accounting operations for a high-end hospitality business while working from anywhere in the world.

This role isfull-time (40 hours/week)with flexible scheduling and potential for growth into a more senior finance position. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and supporting month-end close and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage general ledger and all transaction postings
* Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintain clean and organized financial records
* Prepare trial balances and post journal adjustments as needed
* Manage prepaid schedules and recurring journal entries
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Prepare internal financial reports for management review
* Collaborate closely with internal finance staff and cross-functional teams
* Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance as required
* Continuously identify process improvements for efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications
* Proven experience withQuickBooks Desktop(or similar accounting software)
* Familiarity with hospitality-focused accounting platforms such asCloudBedspreferred
* Accounting degree or equivalent professional experience
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
* Fluent in English for internal communication (non-client-facing)
* Ability to work independently across time zones and manage priorities
* Comfortable navigating dynamic priorities, tight deadlines, and month-end close cycles
* Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
