Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, high-agencyHead of Finance and Operationsto serve as the founder's right hand and lead our finance delivery engine. Sitting at the intersection of fractional CFO advisory, accounting operations, team management, and financial software development, you will establish firm-wide delivery standards, manage our multidisciplinary delivery squad (FP&A, accounting, and engineering), serve as senior finance advisor on select high-growth accounts, and help build proprietary internal tools and software.

This is an executive operating role for someone who has previously built, managed, and scaled finance delivery at an outsourced accounting firm, finance consulting practice, or specialized BPO. The ideal candidate possesses deep accounting and FP&A mastery—capable of building complex 3-statement models, leading board-level discussions, and auditing close packets line-by-line while leveraging AI tools (Claude Code) and internal engineering resources to automate workflows and scale practice operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Standards & Quality Assurance
* Delivery Playbook Architecture:Author and maintain our core operational playbook—establishing standardized financial model architectures, month-end close checklists, reconciliation protocols, and chart-of-accounts conventions tailored by business model (e.g., DTC, eCommerce, B2B SaaS).

* Quality Control Program:Enforce a rigorous review program where every financial model, 13-week cash flow forecast, month-end close packet, and lender package undergoes documented line-by-line review before reaching client founders.

* Standardized Deliverable Templates:Design and maintain master templates for recurring client deliverables, including Budget vs. Actual (BVA) analysis, unit economics dashboards, board decks, and debt/equity fundraising packages.

2. Team Leadership & Client Delivery Management
* Squad Management:Direct day-to-day operations across our FP&A analysts, staff accountants, and software engineers—setting priorities, allocating client workloads, and running weekly 1:1 check-ins.

* Performance KPI Tracking:Define and monitor team performance metrics, including on-time close rates, review finding frequencies, and deliverable turnaround times.

3. Client Finance Leadership (Fractional CFO)
* Founder Advisory:Serve as fractional CFO or Head of Finance for select client accounts, working directly alongside founders, executive teams, and boards.

* Capital & Transaction Readiness:Prepare client companies for capital raises—building dynamic fundraising models, managing data rooms, assembling lender packages (SBA, asset-based lending, venture debt), and leading diligence reviews.
