Role:  Client Admin & Enrollment Coordinator (Test Prep & Tutoring)

Priority Location: South Africa and Latin America

Working Hours: 9AM - 5PM (Mon - Fri) EST

Salary Range: $2,000 - $3,500 USD ($) per month(The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

Type of contract:Independent Contractor

Type of job:Remote

About the Role:

We’re a growing test prep and tutoring company with 23 tutors and around 500 hours of sessions every week, plus group classes and mock tests. We help students prepare for the SAT and ACT, and we pride ourselves on a personal, high-touch experience for every family.

We’re looking for a warm, upbeat, and polished Client Admin to be the first voice parents hear when they reach out. You’ll guide families through their options, answer their questions with confidence, and help them enroll in the right program. This is a phone-heavy, people-first role for someone who loves building rapport and making stressed parents feel heard and supported.

What You Will Do:

Parent Consultations & Enrollment
* Speak with parents by phone and video call to understand their child’s goals, starting scores, and needs.
* Explain our programs and options clearly, including in-person vs. virtual, one-on-one vs. group classes, and mock tests.
* Walk parents through recent changes to the SAT (now fully digital) and the ACT’s new format, and answer questions about test dates, scoring, and timelines.
* Act as a knowledgeable, consultative guide so families feel confident they’re in good hands.
* Recommend the right tutoring package and enroll families, sending payment links for them to complete.
Reading the Room
* Adapt to each parent’s style. Some want quick, efficient answers; others want to talk things through before committing.
* Bring warmth and empathy to every call, especially with parents who are anxious about their child’s scores.
Client Records & Scheduling
* Keep detailed, accurate notes on each family, including scheduling preferences and contact details for different parents.
* Manage and update tutor and student calendars.
* Clean up and maintain client data so records stay organized and current.
Calendar Buildout & Admin Support (during slower periods)
* Build out tutor calendars in Google Calendar several months in advance.
* Help with other ongoing admin and maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
* 2+ years of experience in client-facing sales, enrollment, admissions, customer service, or a similar phone-based role.
* Experience in education, tutoring, or test prep is a big plus.
* Excellent spoken and written English, with a clear, natural, accent-neutral phone manner.
* A genuinely warm, upbeat, and empathetic personality.
* Strong rapport-building and consultative communication skills.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong note-taking habits.
* Comfortable learning a detailed knowledge base (we provide full training through our internal guide).
* Proficient with Google Workspace, especially Google Calendar.
* Strong typing speed and comfort working across multiple tools.
What We Offer:
* Full-time, remote position.
* Monthly compensation of $2,000–$3,500, based on experience.
* Comprehensive training to help you become an expert in test prep.
* The chance to make a real difference for families during a stressful time.

Tips for South African Applicants

Timezone Advantage

South Africa (SAST, UTC+2) overlaps well with European business hours and has a few hours of overlap with US East Coast. Mention your timezone flexibility in your application.

Salary in Context

At R37,000/month, this role is competitive with the average South African remote salary. The USD equivalent ($2,000/mo) benefits from the favourable exchange rate.

Application Tips

Tailor your CV to international standards — use a clean format, highlight remote work experience, and include your English proficiency. Many SA applicants succeed by emphasising their strong work ethic and cultural adaptability.

Load Shedding Preparedness

If you're applying for a remote role, having a backup power solution (UPS, inverter, or generator) and mobile data as a backup internet connection shows employers you're prepared for South Africa's infrastructure challenges.
