Summary / Overall Purpose

The Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for critical industrial components, raw materials, and finished goods essential to our manufacturing operations. This role is strategic and hands-on, requiring expertise in global sourcing, vendor negotiation, supply chain risk mitigation, and ensuring material availability to meet strict production schedules.

Essential Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities

Sourcing & Vendor Management
* Manage a portfolio of key suppliers, focusing on long-term relationship development and performance tracking across quality, delivery, and cost.

* Identify, evaluate, and onboard new domestic and international vendors for technical components, electrical parts, and raw materials used in industrial solutions.

Procurement Execution
* Oversee the purchase requisition process, issue purchase orders (POs), and monitor order progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

* Conduct strategic price negotiations and manage contracts, including annual pricing agreements and long-term supply commitments.

* Partner with Operations and Planning teams to forecast material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Job Requirements (Skills & Experience)

Experience
* 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or buying within a manufacturing, electronics, industrial components, or similar technical environment.
