Hirezar.co.za is South Africa's dedicated remote job board, built to connect South African professionals with legitimate work-from-home opportunities from international companies.

The Problem We Solve

Finding remote work as a South African is harder than it should be. Global job boards list thousands of positions, but most are restricted to US or EU residents. You spend hours scrolling through listings only to find "US only" buried in the requirements. Salaries are listed in USD with no context for what that means in Rands. And there's no easy way to filter for positions that actually welcome South African applicants.

We built Hirezar to fix this. Every job on our platform has been filtered for South African applicability. Every salary is converted to ZAR. Every listing is from a source we trust.

How We Work

Hirezar is a job aggregation platform. We don't post jobs ourselves or act as a recruitment agency. Instead, our automated systems scan multiple trusted international job platforms every 48 hours, looking for remote positions that are open to South African applicants.

When we find a relevant listing, we:

• Extract the job details, requirements, and salary information
• Convert USD salaries to South African Rand using current exchange rates
• Categorise the job by type, experience level, and industry
• Calculate a South Africa suitability score based on factors like timezone requirements and location restrictions
• Publish it on our platform with a direct link to the employer's application page

We also clean up our listings regularly, removing jobs that are older than 14 days to ensure you're only seeing active opportunities.

We aggregate from platforms that we've vetted for quality and legitimacy:

• Somewhere — Our primary source, with 400+ positions specifically targeting South African talent. Somewhere connects SA professionals with US and international companies looking for remote team members.
• Remote Recruitment (Workable) — A recruitment agency that specifically places South Africans in remote roles. They vet both employers and candidates.
• RemoteOK — One of the largest global remote job boards. We filter their listings for positions open to SA applicants.
• Remotive — A curated remote job platform with worldwide listings. We select positions that accept candidates from Africa and South Africa specifically.

Why We Exist

South Africa has an incredible pool of talented professionals — developers, designers, marketers, project managers, customer support specialists, and more. Many of these professionals are underemployed or earning below their potential because the local job market can't absorb all the talent or match international salary levels.

Remote work changes this equation. A senior developer in Johannesburg can earn R60,000-R100,000 per month working for a US startup, compared to R35,000-R50,000 at a local company. A customer support specialist in Durban can earn R20,000-R30,000 per month from an international company, well above local rates.

We believe every South African professional deserves access to these opportunities. Hirezar is our contribution to making that happen.
