Job Description
* Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance withU.S. federal and state regulations.
* Assist in tax research and stay updated on changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws.
* Support senior tax staff in audits, tax planning, and special projects.
* Review financial records, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Identify potential tax issues and recommend solutions or opportunities for savings.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
* Communicate with clients, stakeholders, or internal teams to gather necessary tax-related information.
* Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions and reconciliations.
* Ensure compliance with deadlines and deliverables in accordance with internal policies.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
* 1-5 years of experience in tax, accounting, or auditing (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).
* Strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax regulations; familiarity with state tax compliance is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSeries, or similar).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
* CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
* Experience with corporate, international, or multi-state tax filings.
* Familiarity with ERP or financial management systems.
* Strong interest in continuous learning and professional development in taxation.
