Overview
Our client is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Medical Biller. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in billing operations while maintaining exceptional communication and client service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Submit medical claims for infusion, rheumatology, and regenerative services through eCW, Waystar, Inbox Health and other billing platforms.
* Follow up on unpaid and denied claims; prepare and submit appeals when appropriate
* Audit and reconcile GPO and distributor invoices for accuracy
* Manage biologics copay assistance enrollments and payments
* Generate and analyze monthly billing and reimbursement reports
* Maintain and update ledgers, payment logs, and internal spreadsheets
* Collaborate with CEO, Admin and clinical teams to ensure proper documentation and charge capture
* Communicate with patients regarding balances, payment options, and insurance inquiries
* Send accounts to collections every 90 days in accordance with policy
* Provide client service support by responding promptly to both patient and internal billing inquiries
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience, preferably in rheumatology, infusion, or biologics
* Proficiency with eClinicalWorks
* Strong understanding of CPT/HCPCS codes and prior authorization processes
* Familiarity with GPO or specialty pharmacy billing preferred
* Demonstrated ability to audit and resolve discrepancies with precision
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Consistent, organized, and able to self-manage deadlines in a remote environment
* Professional integrity and a commitment to protecting patient confidentiality
