Role: Head of ContentPriority Location: Latin America
Working Hours: 8AM - 5PM (Mon - Fri) CST
Salary Range: USD 3,000 USD per month(The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)
Type of contract:Independent Contractor
Type of job:Remote
About the Role:
The company helps farmers, ranchers, and ag business operators use AI and technology to drive long-term profitability. We publish a twice-weekly newsletter, run cohort-based courses, and are building a paid community for agricultural professionals. We're growing fast toward 10,000 subscribers and $1M in revenue.
This role starts as Head of Content, but the right person will grow into leading content strategy across a broader media company that applies the same depth-over-breadth editorial approach to topics beyond agriculture, including AI, finance, technology, and business building.
What You’ll Own:
(Immediate)
* Manage the twice-weekly newsletter (Tools Tuesday and Threads Thursday), including editorial planning, production scheduling, and contributing writing
* Develop content for course marketing, lead magnets, email sequences, and paid media
* Develop, execute, and manage the video strategy
* Repurpose long-form content into social distribution (LinkedIn, X, short-form video)
* Maintain and evolve the editorial calendar across all channels
* Ensure every piece of content sounds like a smart operator talking to peers, not a marketer talking at an audience
(Growth Path)
* Help shape the daily newsletter and weekly deep dives for a broader audience of curious builders and operators
* Develop repeatable content formats (tool breakdowns, mini-reviews, opinion pieces) that scale across contributors
* Assist in recruiting and onboarding contributor voices who fit the brand's editorial standards
* Contribute to the content-to-commerce flywheel: building trust and curation authority that drives revenue through courses, tools, and digital product recommendations
Who You Are:
* You write clearly, directly, and without fluff. Your default tone is conversational and first-person, not corporate.
* You can take a technical or complex topic and make it accessible to someone who runs a business, not a tech company.
* You understand content as a business function, not just a creative exercise. You think about funnels, conversion, and audience growth alongside editorial quality.
* You're curious across domains. Agriculture, AI, finance, operations. You don't need to be an
* expert in all of them, but you need to be the kind of person who genuinely enjoys going deep on new subjects.
* You can manage an editorial calendar and hit deadlines without being managed.
* You have experience writing newsletters, and you understand what makes someone open, read, and click.
* You have a perspective on video content strategy and can own the process from concept through distribution.
Nice-to-Have:
* Familiarity with agricultural audiences or rural business operators
* Experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) in a content workflow
* Background in creator economy, media startups, or newsletter-first businesses
* Experience managing or editing other writers/contributors
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, plus performance incentives tied to subscriber growth and content-driven revenue. Equity or profit-sharing potential as the media company scales.
