About the Role

We’re seeking aHead of Branding & Marketingto lead all brand and marketing activities for a gaming academy focused on tools and apps for racing video game fans.

This is a senior, hands-on creative leadership role responsible for shaping how the world sees and experiences the brand across every channel, product, and piece of content.

You’ll define and refine brand identity, oversee all communications, lead a small marketing and creative team, and ensure every launch, video, and message meets high audience expectations.

You’ll collaborate closely with a performance marketing specialist and manage a small but talented team including a graphic designer, writer, and social media manager.

Key Responsibilities
* Brand Leadership:Own the visual and verbal identity across all platforms.
* Creative Direction:Lead creation of video, visual, and written content that communicates the story with clarity and impact.
* Team Management:Guide and mentor the marketing and creative team, ensuring quality and consistency across output.
* Product Launches:Plan and execute cohesive brand-led campaigns for new products, features, and collaborations.
* Messaging and Positioning:Craft compelling narratives and ensure alignment across web, social, email, and app.
* Social Media and Communications:Oversee community-facing messaging, tone of voice, and storytelling.
* Collaboration:Work closely with the performance marketing lead to align paid and organic initiatives.
* Brand Health:Monitor and maintain brand integrity across all assets and touchpoints.
* Content Calendar:Build and manage a structured campaign and content roadmap tied to product goals.

Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative strategy, or communications, ideally within gaming, technology, or entertainment.
* Proven ability to lead creative and marketing teams with high attention to detail and strong creative standards.
* Fluent in English, with exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
* Passionate about video games and technology, ideally with an appreciation for motorsport and esports culture.
* Based in South Africa with strong organizational and leadership skills in a remote setting.
* Strong understanding of building emotional, long-term connections with an audience through content and brand voice.
* Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or internal creative teams.
* Comfortable balancing brand craft with strategic goals and commercial awareness.
