Senior Accountant (Remote – LATAM)

The RoleWe are seeking a high-caliberSenior Accountantto join our finance team. This is not a transactional role; we are looking for a "tech-first" accounting professional who can take full ownership of the General Ledger and Accounts Receivable functions. You will be responsible for navigating complex accounting entries, managing month-end closes independently, and re-engineering processes to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate is an Excel power-user who understands the nuances of revenue recognition and commission structures, and who can seamlessly manage a modern fintech stack.

Key Responsibilities
* General Ledger Ownership:Lead the month-end and year-end close processes independently. Manage complex journal entries, including revenue recognition and commission accounting.
* AR & Fintech Management:Take full ownership of Accounts Receivable. You must be proficient in managing workflows within a fintech stack (e.g.,Stripe) and understanding how collection platforms integrate with your accounting software to automate processes.
* Process Re-engineering:Actively identify bottlenecks in current financial workflows and implement "tech-first" solutions to streamline data flow between platforms and the GL.
* Financial Integrity:Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and prepare accurate financial records and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
* Specialized Accounting:Manage complex accounting areas; experience withASC 842 (Leases)is a significant advantage.
Requirements
* Software Mastery:Advanced proficiency inQuickBooksorNetSuiteis mandatory.
* Excel Expert:Must be highly knowledgeable inAdvanced Excel/Google Sheets, capable of building and maintaining complex formulas and data models.
* Experience:5+ years of professional accounting experience, specifically in a Senior capacity.
* Technical Background:A "tech-first" mindset. Previous experience in Fintech or Real Estate is highly preferred.
* Independent Operator:Ability to manage the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.
* Communication:Professional English proficiency for collaboration with a global team.

Location & Schedule
* Location:Remote (Open to talent across LATAM).
* Schedule:Full-Time. While we offer flexibility, alignment with core business hours and the ability to coordinate with team members in UTC-3 is essential.
